Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard is your command center in MailPilot. It provides a quick snapshot of your email marketing performance and recent activity.
Dashboard Overview
When you log in to MailPilot, the dashboard is the first thing you'll see. It's designed to give you instant insights into your email marketing performance without overwhelming you with data.
Key Metrics
At the top of your dashboard, you'll find your most important metrics at a glance:
Total Subscribers
This shows your current subscriber count. Click on this card to navigate to your subscribers page where you can view, search, and manage your contacts. The percentage change indicator shows how your list has grown (or shrunk) compared to the previous period.
Campaigns Sent
Track how many email campaigns you've sent in total. This includes all broadcast emails, A/B tests, and automated campaign sends. Click to view your full campaign history.
Average Open Rate
Your average open rate across all campaigns. This is one of the most important metrics for measuring engagement. Industry average is around 20-25%, so aim to meet or exceed that benchmark. A declining open rate may indicate list fatigue or the need to re-engage inactive subscribers.
Average Click Rate
The percentage of recipients who clicked a link in your emails. This shows how compelling your content and calls-to-action are. A healthy click rate is typically 2-5%, but this varies by industry.
Recent Campaigns
Below your key metrics, you'll see a list of your most recent email campaigns. For each campaign, you can see:
- Campaign Name: The name you gave your campaign
- Send Date: When the campaign was sent
- Recipients: How many subscribers received the email
- Open Rate: Percentage of recipients who opened
- Click Rate: Percentage who clicked a link
- Status: Sent, Scheduled, or Draft
Click on any campaign to view detailed analytics and subscriber-level engagement data.
Subscriber Growth Chart
The subscriber growth chart visualizes how your email list has grown over time. You can toggle between different time periods (7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or all time) to see trends. Look for:
- Steady growth: A healthy sign that your signup forms and marketing efforts are working
- Sudden spikes: May indicate a successful campaign, viral content, or a bulk import
- Decline: More unsubscribes than new signups - consider re-engagement campaigns
Recent Activity
The activity feed shows recent actions in your account, including:
- New subscribers added (manually or via forms)
- Campaigns sent or scheduled
- Workflows activated or paused
- Integration connections established
- List imports completed
This helps you stay on top of what's happening in your account and can be useful for teams to coordinate efforts.
Quick Actions
The dashboard includes quick action buttons to help you jump into common tasks:
- Create Campaign: Start a new email campaign immediately
- Import Subscribers: Upload a CSV file with new contacts
- Create Form: Build a signup form to embed on your website
- View Analytics: Deep dive into your campaign performance data
Customizing Your Dashboard
While the default dashboard layout works for most users, you can customize certain aspects:
- Change the date range for metrics calculation
- Toggle between light and dark mode using the theme switcher
- Resize charts by dragging the corners (on larger screens)
Pro Tip
Check your dashboard first thing in the morning to spot any issues with scheduled campaigns or unusual activity. Set up email notifications for important events like campaign completions or automation triggers.
