Webhook Integrations

Connect MailPilot with any service that supports webhooks.

Incoming Webhooks

Trigger MailPilot workflows from external services:

  1. Create a new workflow in MailPilot

  3. MailPilot generates a unique webhook URL
  4. Copy the URL and paste it into your external service
  5. Send POST requests to this URL to trigger the workflow

Webhook Payload

Send JSON data in the request body:

{ "email": "[email protected]", "first_name": "John", "custom_field": "value" }

MailPilot will:

  • Find or create the subscriber
  • Update their profile with provided data

  2. Enter the destination URL
  3. Configure HTTP method (POST, GET, PUT, DELETE)
  4. Add headers (authentication, content-type)
  5. Configure request body with subscriber data using merge tags

Use Cases

Integration Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

If your integration fails to connect:

  • Verify your store URL is correct
  • Check that the integration app is installed and active
  • Ensure your firewall isn't blocking MailPilot's IP addresses
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting
  • Check if your platform requires API permissions to be enabled

Data Not Syncing

  • Check the integration status in MailPilot (active/inactive)
  • Verify webhook URLs are correct in your external platform
  • Look for errors in the integration log
  • Ensure your API key has correct permissions
  • Check rate limits haven't been exceeded

Workflow Triggers Not Firing

  • Verify the workflow is active (not paused)
  • Check the trigger configuration matches the event
  • Look in workflow execution logs for errors
  • Test with a manual trigger to isolate the issue
